Just got home from a great comp.
this is one of my best performances considering alot of the events are not my favourite.
it was a great comp with a good line up of athletes and some fantastic events.
1st event Medley (120kg farmers 25meters, 6flips of tyre)
1st Mark Westerby 41 secs 2nd Adam Townsend 43 secs 3rd Me 47secs ( i had 2 go 1st in this event so happy with 3rd)
2nd event Full stretch/Hercules hold 180kg per hand
1st Wayne Russell 47secs 2nd Me 45secs 3rd Jack Uno 35secs
3rd event 120kg log for reps. (each rep from floor)
1st Wayne Russell 11reps 2nd Adam Townsend 10reps 3rd Lee Bowers 9reps 5th me 5reps PB
4the event
conans circle 350kg
1st Mark Westerby 55meters 2nd Wayne Russell 42.13 meters 3rd Adam Townsend 41.88meters 4th Me 41.56meters
5th event Stones
this sound complicated, but was ok. hard event tho. only 1person lifted all the stones. you carry a 100kg flint stone 20meters then attemped the first stone then carry the flint stone back 20 meters etc till you do all the stones. the atlas stones were 120kg onto a very high platform (over 6foot), 140kg and 180kg. this made the first stone very hard for most of the athletes. only the last 5 athletes did the 1st atlas stone.
1st Mark Westerby all 6 stones 2nd Adam Townsend 5 stones 3rd Wayne Russell 5 stones 4th me 5 stones
the last event was a truck pull cant remember times but 1st was Lee Bowers 2nd Mark Westerby 3rd Wayne Russell 4th Adam Townsend 5th me
over all results
1st Mark Westerby 64points 2nd Wayne Russell 63points 3rd Adam Townsend 61points 4th Me Laurence Shahlaei 51points 5th Lee Bowers 44points 6th Jack Uno 39 7th Mark Buckley 35 (man of the day 14 and a half stone, amazing guts) 8thJames 28 8th ? 28 10th Christian Clay 25 11th Wayne Horton 19 12th James Clusky17
great day, but pissed off that i missed out on prize money lol

The boys done good. Not only did TT do very well today (inc 2 second event places) but another of the lads that train at the whey consortium unit also did well today. Winner of our first novice event and now a second place at the inaugural Essex Strongman Association competion was our very own Pete Reynolds. Here's a pic from MT (pete on right):
