So I would like to enter some sort of strongman competition.
I have never competed before although I am fairly strong (I think) and have worked out quite a bit, I even have my own 'Farmers Walk' handles and homemade 'Stones'.
In gym training I do as follows for up to 4 x 10 reps, as for one rep Max's /Pb's I have never really tried:
Bench Press: 130KG Dead lift: 170KG Free Squats: 160KG Farmers Walk: 110KG a side for 20M Shrugs: 300KG (no straps)
I am 34yrs, 130Kg and 6'
So would I stand a chance? bearing in mind these are training weights for physique, and if so, whats the best first comp to enter and do you have info for me to do so?

Hello. I would say your big lifts need to be worked on as they are on the low side but event training is more important than gym lifts if you want to do well in strongman find a training camp in your area and get training with the strongman kit. You need to do overhead work as well. where you based let's see if we can find you somewhere to trian events.

That would be great. To be honest I've never been confident enough to attempt really heavy lifting, it would be great to get some proper training in and actually get direction from people who can lift the heavy weights. Thanks

After the email I had yesterday I've also directed him to look at SDF.
