Although the warehouse, gym and office have all remained 99% dry flooding will affect delivery schedules to a small degree. Basically the A40 and M5 are the main arterial roads for DHL etc to use to get to Bristol (their local 'hub') and the rest of the country and these have been badly hit. This photo - which has been in many papers: Was taken five minutes walk from here. There is a massive dip beneath the bridge and it can get flooded under normal circumstances - hence the depth marker. But my vote for 'knob of the year 2007' missed the marker and managed to not only drive his 4x4 into it and need to be rescued but also hit another submerged car. I've just noticed his window wipers are still on - he's deffo won the knob of the year competition. He may well have it sown up for the next few years - what a pratt! It's a cheap 4x4 - not a frigging boat you plum!! On a personal note I was meant to travel to London on Friday and return Saturday. I got as far as Swindon by 1pm or so and then spent £123.00 and 6 hours in total (4 in the taxi hence the money) getting back home.

The area just inside of my porch became a bit soggy, it was touch and go for a few hours, but we managed to pull through with well honed British vim and vigor! LOL

I'll sell you a pan full for £10.00 ... £1000 he he Earlier, as I was washing my balls in the shower, it occured to me that the shithouse will now not be an option in the 'where to excrete' department (well, not unless one wishes to engage in throwing rainwater down the bog in an effort to flush) to wit, I have provided the following advice for those who may find themselves 'caught short' Trust me, I have done this, and it works, it is taken from my upcoming book 'Urban Warfare Bits and Bobs' and the full version can be found next to the chapter on 'Escrima For The Busy Housewife' You will require the following items: - An empty bottle, the larger the better
- A bin bag
- Bog roll
Use thusly: - Urinate in a bottle, replace lid, place nearby
- Arrange the bin bag on the floor with its edges rolled down (somewhat akin to a camp fire structure)
- Squat over said bin bag, relieving yourself at whim
- Wipe buttocks, place soiled paper (along with the now brimming bottle) inside the bin bag
- Securely fasten the bin bag before placing in bin/local pond/neighbours garden

The flooding is a pain in the ass! I've been on call the last few days, missing training and Friday it took me over four and a half hours to get back from cheltenham. And because of the rain, on Saturday, I had fifteen calls to boilers effected by rain coming through the flue, so 12 hours non stop rushing around not eating didn't improve my mood much. Then today I've just got back from another eight people that didn't bother ringing yesterday. Had enough now.

Both all the local radio stations and the local newspaper website have regularly been updating people re electricity, locations of bowsers, etc etc. Water might be off two weeks. Electric is touch and go and getting in and out of the county is very difficult using the M5 and A40.

As its likely to carry on raining I've put out some buckets etc in the units yard and will be using that water to flush the toilet. As suggested elsewhere if you don't then you'll need to get the plumbers round at some point.
If, however, the drains back up (not likely for most Gloucester Whey Consortium members (we all live above the flood plains I think) then use two buckets. One full of dirt and or sawdust and the other with a layer on the bottom. As you crap etc into it top it up with the dirt / sawdust. It makes half decent manure and so can go on a compost heap. Just do not add anything (nappies etc) which take ages to breakdown.
