had a rare opportunity to train this morning as i was given a study day.
decided to repeat mondays programme as i could front squat again and my training partner could train also.
so......
Two Hands Pinch Lift for holds 3x5 (15 secs) 42.5kg i have a nice area on my thumb thats becoming hard so i might be able to handle more weight soon but im not going to rush it.
Finger curls with an Olympic Bar, overhand grip. 3x12 80kg
Two Hand Wrist Curl. 3x12 40kg easy today Two Hands Reverse Wrist Curl.3x12 20kg still quite tough
front squat 115 x5x5
Bench press 5x5 95kg
shoulder lateral raises 4x8 12.5 kg
abs to finish
im enjoying this programme and i think im going to stick with doing the grip stuff first as thats my priority really and keeping my overall strength is secondary.
there is a big temptation to lower the reps and increase the weight to see what i can do but im not going to go down that road and ill stick to the programme increasing weight slowly getting the reps out for another 10 weeks
ive got the buzz and im sure the ground work will pay itself off

Good idea. I tear the skin at the base of the thumb with reps and max weights most times.

Two Hands Pinch Lift for holds 3x5 (5 secs) 45kg first set was hard but then i seemed to warm up and it became easier Finger curls with an Olympic Bar, overhand grip. 3x12 65kg Two Hand Wrist Curl. 3x12 40kg tough Two Hands Reverse Wrist Curl.3x12 20kg tough
head wasnt in it tonight really felt quite weak also weighed self and not impressed with that either so i decided to some high rep benching and finished on front squats tabata style
Was a bit hard but managed to complete the tabata squats without too much vomit which i was pleased about despite not being motivated at the start of the session.

Two Hands Pinch Lift for holds 3x5 (5 secs) 50kg felt really good
Finger curls with an Olympic Bar, overhand grip. 3x12 70kg
Two Hand Wrist Curl. 3x12 40kg felt better than the last few weeks as i changed from a olympic bar to a thinner bar as my wrists were in quite a bit of pain but tonight went well with no pain
Two Hands Reverse Wrist Curl.3x12 20kg tough
shoulder press 2x8 60kg
squats 20 reps - 130kg
pullovers 20 reps 25kg
shrugs 2x8 125kg
Curls 2x8 30kg
good session

just a quick question for all with the two hand wrist curls i have been doing, my form has been full range with my thumbs under the bar with my wrists way over the edge of a bench. is this correct???

Not if you are training for Table top wrist curls. But if you are not and are just working the forearms either with or without thumb is ok.

As the TTWC is way more tendon strength than the full range I'd go with that for wrist strength. You might wanna look at some leverage work for the sides and back.
