I don't have a trap bar - it was the one at Gymnation - they also have a thick bar.

Saturday 2HP - volume day worked up to 87.5-kilos (sluggish to begin with) then did 20 x 1 reps
And some special technique work...
R/Thunder sets of 8 with 60, 70m and *75-kilos *may have done just 6 with this weight
Medley Consisting of 70-kilo farmers, 103-kilo Millennium and 2 80-ish kilo barrels - 2 'runs' (ie: little more than walking pace ha ha) one at 50 or so and one at 48 seconds (would have been quicker but f**ked up the Millennium pick up)

More grip work. What sort of weight improvment's do you see each year? May be getting a 3" dumbell handel soon, should be fun?
What was TT's time for the loading?

TT did sub 21 seconds (I think 20.14 and then 20.13 seconds).
Improvements: Not on all lifts and not always in training. I'm probably doing too much right now and I've seen the training diaries of others that might be competing against me in the next Grip Championships and they are doing even more. For example my gripper strength is down (still not getting the SE consistenly), RT is just about back where it was last year (80 and 90 odd kilos), the WR is a new lift for me (never trained it this long and all sessions are PR's), Pinch is deffo up (thank goodness ha ha) V-Bar is so so - esp the right hand (always better in competition although my left hand has deffo improved). Farmers it's hard to say but I am confident I'll be doing 200-kilos per hand for 45-60 seconds pre May as I have done shed loads on top range partials and thick bar partial for time in the past. My bench is up since coming to Gloucester and that's both 'off' and 'on' as is my press although I have struggled recently to make improvements but on a year in and out basis it's better.
One issue is age and another injuries. Age affects recovary time and injuries just hold you back. I do tend to find that as the date for competition gets near I step up a notch and I'm getting a lot better at analyzing what I do in myself (harder than doing it in others). I also have to watch I don't do too much of the strongman event training (I never intend to and then always end up having a go). As fun as it is I am not of a competitive standard in that field and doing too much holds me back on what I am good at and what I wanna win on.
One big motivation these last few months and those coming is the simple fact that the Whey HQ and this forum as well as the SDF (and other sites) has seen a lot more people than in the last 2 years looking likely to have a go at the British. This means I have to work harder and more consistently if I wish to at least retain the title I won last year.

Sunday Fixed the unit door, packed some orders, swept up and put away plates etc then trained grippers. No sign of Mike or the Conan's / viking press as yet.
Grippers Worked to L/H: GM x 5-6 x 1 assisted closes R/H: BBE as above
I may try some parallel hose clip closes as I want to bring the left up to consistent closes with a 3 and the right with SE or even a 4.

I heard this morning that apparently I'd passed on to the great beyond this weekend. Well it 'taint' true I had a rather worried mate call me several times before I answered the phone and, once he realized I was ok, told me that the old boys network had passed on a message through several of my chums that I had departed this mortal coil. Just to confuse everyone there is another Steve Gardner (note missing e from the surname) who also is a lifter and the original message stated that 'strongman Steve Gardener' had passed away. Well the two of us, as far as I know, are both with you. I laughed initially then felt sorry for those that rang and emailed me (daft though that will have been if I had gone) as they were obviously a little sad. I'm trying to track the message back to its origin so as to be able to give whoever started it an earfull. All that said I think someone once said who aren't famous until this happens so...

I'll have popped a blood vessel for having another 'how much in a scoop' question.... that's what'll finish me off If the product is on our site you'll have the breakdown per 100g (either as is or precentage) and then it's a case, for ANY product, of X it by 31g (the average for our current 50ml scoops). It will vary between product and so you should weigh each one a few times and get an average. This works better as my scoops are always heaped and yours might be level and so on. In the case of your 80% WPC it will be 80% protein of every 31g scoop = 24.8 Plus I had an email back from the other Steve so he's deffo ok as well.

Wednesday pm Grippers L/H: to 16 x 1 @ RB240 (2 missed reps - also tried more setting with this which never feels right) R/H: 16 x 1 @ BBE
Thick handled dumbbell took more time setting it up than lifting 90-kilos x easy single then set it to 95-kilos and got a single right before it went loose again on my left and so called it a day.
