Log not much to talk about went for 105kg fro reps only got two not very happy
Farmers worked up to 110kg
Stones trided our new stones very smoth got the 120kg for a single could'nt get it next time but happy with the single (no tacky.)
Did some streching and leg raises.

Feb 18th 2006 105kg contest Bexhill England. Here is how my day went. Upat 6.30am to drive the 180 miles to the show weighted in and then eat some food weight was 104.5kg. As some of you know i only put my name down for this 10 days ago so did not train for this contest. Log lift one clean than then presses. Jon said no double dips witch is what i have been doing in the gym i got 4 reps but one was a dd and only 3 counted bitof a dosipointment . Birck lift every one did 10 as a warm up lift then you chose 3 lifts first lift after seeing some of the lads picking 16 and bombing out i went safe with 14. second lift i wasplaying catch up with the 16 brick lads so went 17.Good lift. Third lift i went for a win 19 bricks failed if i had gone for 18 and got it i would have ben joint first but thats the gamble. Deadlift 220kg for reps. I'm not a good deadlifter the week before the comp i got a single 200kg in training and was looking at 1or2 to get a point i managed 5 solid reps to = my personal best so very happy 5 reps was only good enough for 2nd last. Deadlift hold 220kg on a trap bar Handels were VERY smooth when i lifted the bar it tilted very badly and i was holding it a 45 angle very painfull as my hand was trapped agaist the back of the trap bar got just over 29 seconds. Walk of pain. One for my better events made it 6 and a bit laps with the 120kg churn the average was 4.5 i think i was 3rd in that one. Over all joint 5th with my mate Mr Ox the battle between us lives on if i get mt deadlift up i think i have a real chance of making the England and British this year. One last thing thank you to all involved in the contest and and to all my training partners down WCHQ who have help me to become a better strongman. Could not get head into training tonight so did some 2hp and v-bar.
2hp worked up to a 6kg PB on a thinner setting of 44mm i think it was 77.3/4kg i'm getting there.
V-bar worked up to 105 kg left and 115kg right total 225kg i need to get up to a total of 287.5 kg to beat the prat on the grip board you know how you are. I will be done with in a year.

Felt like crap most of the day got this cold/cough that seem to be going around.
Shoulder/push press. 50kg x5 strict 80 x5 strict 100 x 5 Push 110 x 1 push 100 x 5 push 120 x 1 push 130 failed 100 x 5 push
Floor presses
60kg x 10 80 x 10 100 x 5 100 x 6 105 x 5
Did a small amount of pinch worked som set of around 55kg and did a couple of 66kg single i stared to feel even craper than i did when i started so stopped there not to bad happy with the over head press.

Turned up an hour late as my son had his first football game shold have atarted at 11.30 15 min each way but because of the over night rain we could only use one of the pitches so evetime was delayed did,nt get away until 13.40

Loading race.
Four barrels 2x85 and 3 unknown but they were mean as hell. Time 1.38 sec NIck did it in abour 40 seconds.
