Thought i`d inflict my rantings & ravings on to the unfortunate people of this board. Sorted my comp bag out tonight so i`m allready to go for sunday. Its going to be heavy for me but if you don`t make the effort then you dont push your boundaries. Onwards & upwards people

good luck on sunday mate. i know you will do well in most of those events. didnt you win a deadlift hold in a comp? the fact that your still a 105 athlete competing with the heavys showes you determination 2 improve. good luck 2 all my other friends competing but be warned, im aiming 2 win see ya sunday bud

`THE ZOO` rolls on Competed sunday at the Southwest comp. 4X4 Hold = did ok on this got about 4th i think. Yolk = got 11.2 mtrs PB (by 5mtrs ,nearly double previous) Arm over arm limo pull = Cocked up by stopping to early.Pulled it to the steaks & not where it should have been (DULLARD ) Car wheelbarrow = not bad 4thish again Herc Hold = farse really.Not heavy enough .The reason i let go was that i have the forearms of a sml 2yr old & they pumped right up very quickly.It wasn`t my grip that went it was the fact my fingers just blew up like pork sausages & my grip is crap Medley= The tyre was changed due to the fact the first few people couldn`t flip it.So it was tyre flip (very light tyre),120k farmers for 25mtrs then a 70k steel wheel carry for 25 mtrs.I thought i was`nt going to finish as my kiddy forearms were still really pumped . Farmers PB. Stones = 6 stones around a truck flat bed.Slippery little suckers .I managed all 6 in a fairly respectable time. PB= never loaded 6 in a row before.What really threw me was the stones were placed about 2-3 ft away from the truck,something i will have to practice in future. Paul Amor just blasted the stones up like they were beachballs = Not a bad days work seeing as i only weighed 99KG in the morning. Got some really good ideas of what i need to do now & what i need to work on. No more comps this year as i`m feeling a bit worn out (Yes Dale it is probably my age ). Hopefully got some boys interested in training at [glow=red,2,300]`THE ZOO`[/glow]So if i can convert a couple of people to the light side then it`ll all be worth it

All lifts were done totally raw ,just a bit of chalk on deads. I weigh 100k as of today so i have 5kg of muscle/strength to put back on my frame. Abs twinged a bit during squats.Need more core work. Last squat session was 13/6/06 & that was front squats. PB on rolling thunder was a real shock. Not a bad first day back ,could be worse ;D

My grip was fckd after the wrist roller . Table Tennis proofed my platforms today, I used 4x2" to replace the lips that he smashed off last time LOL LOL Just sat & watched strongman on telly. Travis O smashed the stones in 18ish seconds

More like the old sessions. Tripled last weeks deadlift so things are going better. I have a new training mindset now.I just imagine Karlsen is doing 1 more rep or more weight.This seems to keep my head straight. Bring on next year

Quite happy with tonight. Just over an hour ,so fairly quick paced. Bench was a disaster.Started to lower bar & got a dull pain in my front delt region so eased back.Want to live to fight another day. 2.75" Wrist Roller is a beaut.Didn`t have 3" at pipe local diy place so had to settle for that.My forearms were fckd after that set. I couldn`t even write in my training diary for about 10 mins.
